In occasione della commemorazione del ventesimo anniversario della morte di Biko (12 settembre 1997) fu presente anche Peter Gabriel. Nel 1989, i Simple Minds – band scozzese – hanno realizzato una cover della suddetta canzone (in Street Fighting years, etichetta Virgin), testimoniando così l’ancora diffuso interesse verso la figura di Stephen Biko.
